Recent Sailing Onboard Princess Cruises 2021

Last week, we were fortunate enough to be at the Travel Market 2018 in Boca Raton, and heard from some of the industry’s leading entrepreneurs, and suppliers. One presentation that stood out to us was from AmaWaterways, which got us thinking – how different are the river cruise suppliers? Do they offer the same things? Are they for the 55+ only? What’s included, and  how late do the port calls run? We’ve been able to compare so many of them & we wanted to share a couple, so that you can make an informed decision on which cruise line to sail with! Why? Because not all river cruises are the same!

  • AmaWaterways

With AmaWaterways, you’ll not be shy of luxury. They hold numerous awards [including 2017 Best River Cruise Line, 2017 Best for Active Cruisers,, and more], and hold itineraries in Europe, Africa, France, Vietnam and Cambodia. Most of their ships include amenities like twin balconies, fitness centres, award-winning dining, and excursions. Plus, like the growing trend in the river cruising industry, they are giving longer port calls, and more overnight ports.

  • Avalon

Next up, Avalon. Cruise Critic named them 2017 Editor’s Pick for Best Cabin – and we can see why. Your bed is positioned to face outside the 11′, wall to wall, 7′ wide window opening, and has 200 square feet of interior space. They combine contemporary design with elegant dining, using fresh, local ingredients. Adding to the current industry trend, they have sailings to the newest “it” destination, the Galapagos Islands, and many other exotic locations.

  • U by Uniworld

U by Uniworld is the newest river cruise from Uniworld. This sleek black ship features silent discos, night clubs, and a whole new take on river cruising. Originally aimed at millennials, this vessel has caught the attention of everyone from young professionals, to the adventurous retiree. While these itineraries are not all inclusive, it gives an affordable option for those who are wanting the excitement of travel, and the ability to cross multiple destinations off their bucket list at one time. They’ve just started sailing this year, and the reviews have been great!

  • Viking

Viking River Cruises are highly ranked. They have received many accolades, including 2017 Best for First-Timers, 2017 Best Shore Excursions, & 2016 Best Itineraries. Sailings include many in Europe, and Russia, as well as Vietnam, & Cambodia! They boast approximately 60 ships, and have unveiled plans to expand into the ocean-going lines. Nightly entertainment, and many excursions with the locals make for an exciting, and memorable cruise!

These are just a few of the many river cruise lines that are available to you! Got questions?! Let us know – we’d be happy to help answer them, and find you the perfect river cruise fit! Click here to contact us today!
